Job Description:
Job Description Salary Range: $125/hr - $130/hr (varies
depending on years of experience) The Addiction Medicine Physician
provides comprehensive medical care to individuals with substance
use disorders across the continuum of treatment. This role focuses
on assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and collaboration
with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support patient
recovery, safety, and long-term wellness. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct medical and psychiatric evaluations for individuals with
substance use disorders Diagnose and treat substance use disorders
and co-occurring medical or psychiatric conditions Prescribe and
manage medications for addiction treatment, including medications
for opioid, alcohol, and other substance use disorders Oversee
detoxification protocols and withdrawal management, as applicable
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on
clinical need Collaborate with counselors, nurses, social workers,
and other care team members to ensure coordinated treatment Educate
patients and families on substance use disorders, treatment
options, and relapse prevention REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Medical
Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required Active,
unrestricted medical license in New York Board Certification or
Board Eligibility in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry
(preferred) Experience working in addiction treatment, behavioral
health, or integrated care settings Familiarity with
medication-assisted treatment (MAT) models Experience treating
co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders Comfort
working with diverse and underserved populations Atlas Search is a
