Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel X-Ray Technologist/n/n Location/n New Jersey /n/nAssignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n Swing Shift: 11 AM - 7:30 PM, Rotating weekends and holiday requirements apply. /n/nJob Description/n The Radiologic Technologist I is accountable for performing diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level. This role requires the ability to work independently without constant supervision. The technologist will utilize appropriate technical factors based on individual patient needs and maintain compliance with radiation safety protocols. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Produce diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and using immobilization devices. /n - Select and operate equipment tailored to specific procedures and patient needs. /n - Perform portable x-ray examinations in various settings including patient rooms and emergency rooms. /n - Identify patient films accurately with necessary details, ensuring correct film marking. /n - Process exposed x-ray films utilizing the available development methods. /n - Complete patient requisitions accurately, including necessary technologist initials and details. /n - Maintain an orderly x-ray room and follow departmental guidelines. /n - Prepare and assist in administering radiopaque contrast media under physician guidance. /n - Perform administrative duties related to patient scheduling, instructions, film filing, and record maintenance. /n - Assist patients based on individual needs, facilitating mobility and comfort during examinations. /n - Provide care sensitive to the demographic needs of the patient population, including communication adjustments as needed. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - Minimum of 5 years experience in radiologic technology. /n - ARRT certification, New Jersey State License, and AHA BLS certification required. /n - Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and clinical training. /n /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
