on those we employ.ResponsibilitiesThe RoleUnder the general
direction of the Senior Director and/or AVP or VP of Transitional
Housing, the Program Director is responsible for the overall
clinical management and administrative operations of assigned
program(s). This includes managing and monitoring staff
performance, ensuring high-quality clinical services, maintaining
the safety and upkeep of the site, meeting program goals, and
maintaining effective communication with agency administration.What
You Will Do
- Supervise and monitor the therapeutic environment to ensure
behavioral guidelines are followed and relationships remain
positive.
- Monitor the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of shelter
services and safety of the environment of care.
- Manage program services, improve existing services, and develop
new treatment components to meet client needs.
- Assess needs and ensure program objectives are met.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and deploying agency
policies and procedures.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to staff.
- Interview, hire, train, evaluate, discipline, and may terminate
staff as needed.
- Oversee plant operations to ensure a safe and secure
environment.
- Ensure staff maintain accurate, complete, and timely records in
compliance with regulations and policies.
- Uphold the agency's Code of Conduct and ensure compliance with
all relevant laws and regulations, including confidentiality and
privacy standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and program directors to
meet organizational goals.
- Plan and conduct staff training to enhance competencies.
- Keep management informed about program status and prepare
reports as required.
- Participate in management and quality improvement
committees.QualificationsWho You Will Be
- Associate's Degree with 15+ years of experience working with
the homeless population, including 10+ years supervising social
service staff in shelter/transitional or permanent supportive
housing, and experience working with NYC Department of Homeless
Services or similar organizations.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to implement and monitor policies in accordance with
agency guidelines.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing substance
abuse treatment programs.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving
skills.
