The Human Resources team is seeking a Benefits Manager to join the
team. Partnered with the benefits team, you will be responsible for
managing various employee benefits, including health, life and
disability coverages, leaves of absence and retirement savings. The
ideal candidate will have experience in human resources,
specifically benefits management, communications, and plan
compliance as well as LOA (leave of absence) processing and the
various laws and regulations which apply to them.
Responsibilities
Manage various employee benefits, including health, life and
disability coverages, leaves of absence and retirement savings
Assist Director of Benefits with annual open enrollment process,
including virtual or on-site meetings, distributing materials, and
assisting with presentations to communicate benefit plans
Manage the implementation of new groups and renewal decisions
including program set-up, coordination & management of all vendors,
TPA's, Networks, PBM's, and brokers
Ensure compliance with all federal and international legal and
disclosure requirements such as COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and ERISA.
Maintain benefit plan documentation including plan documents and
policies.
Provide new employees with an explanation of benefits, and instruct
them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures
Provide employees guidance on ADP Workforce Now, healthcare
provider sites, and Fidelity NetBenefits
Resolve employee issues by working with insurance brokers,
insurance providers and third-party administrators
Develop benefit communications which highlight program
offerings
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
7+ years' experience in HR with benefits experience
Deep understanding of change management and the ability to think
strategically around how to deploy programs and manage that change
across a variety of business units and different workforces
Familiarity with payroll and benefits software systems (ADP
Workforce Now preferred)
Intermediate computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word,
Outlook)
Strong attention to detail with demonstrated organizational and
process skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate
employees about their benefits and assist with their questions.
Experience with leaves of absence (LOA) including FMLA, ADA, state
and local leave laws, short-term and long-term disability plans
Experience with vendor premium payments
Experience with Canadian Benefit plans
Experience with Workers Compensation
Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
