This opportunity seeks skilled Special Education Teachers to support students in an educational setting, focusing on providing tailored instruction and resources to meet diverse learning needs. Positions are onsite in Danbury, CT, with a contract term running from ASAP through May 22, 2026. Candidates will contribute to a collaborative environment that values inclusivity and individualized learning. Positions Available: Elementary Resource Special Education Teacher Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher Middle School Resource Special Education Teacher Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students Adapt general education curriculum to accommodate students with special needs Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Track and document student progress and update reports as required Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment Qualifications: Valid Connecticut Educator Certificate with Special Education endorsement Experience in resource and self-contained special education settings preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively onsite within a school team Commitment to supporting diverse learners and promoting inclusion Location: Onsite work in Danbury, Connecticut Hours: 30 to 32.5 hours per week This role is ideal for passionate special education professionals who thrive in a collaborative school community and are committed to making a meaningful impact on student growth.
