Job Description Job Description Job Title: Indirect Tax Accountant Job Description The Indirect Tax Accountant will assist with completing tax analyses and prepare aspects of the Company's indirect tax filings, including sales & use tax, VAT/GST, gross receipts tax, property tax, and related returns, estimates, and reconciliations. The role also involves organizing and addressing correspondence from tax authorities, performing tax research, and contributing to other tax projects. Responsibilities Prepare supporting analyses for and aspects of global indirect tax returns (e.g. sales & use tax, VAT/GST, property tax). Prepare periodic indirect tax reconciliations of tax general ledger accounts. Assist with ongoing documentation for internal controls, as applicable to indirect tax processes. Support special projects as needed. Organize and respond to inquiries from tax authorities. Collaborate with external tax advisors and service providers where applicable. Essential Skills State tax and federal tax knowledge. Experience in provisioning and tax preparation. Understanding of income tax and indirect tax filings. Proficiency in sales & use tax, value added tax (VAT), and goods and services tax (GST). Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and data manipulation. Experience with OneSource software or similar tax software. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. 2 years of experience in a corporate tax department of a publicly traded multi-state corporation or at a national public accounting firm. 2 years of experience with periodic indirect tax reconciliations. 2 years of experience with preparing and supporting analysis for VAT, GST, and property tax. 6 months of experience with OneSource or similar tax software. Tech industry and public accounting experience is advantageous. Work Environment This is a fully remote role, preferring candidates based in the East Coast or Central Time Zone. The role reports to the Sr. Manager of Indirect Tax and ultimately to the Sr. Director of Global Tax. The company offers PTO accrual and holiday pay for six major holidays. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
