selected candidate would be required to come in to the North
Bergen, NJ office once a quarter.* Job Title: Accountant Primary
Purpose: The Accountant will provide accounting support for the
Retail Accounting Department. This includes analyzing, auditing,
and reconciling sales and deposits in addition to making necessary
financial statement adjustments. This person will take ownership of
various balance sheet reconciliations (including store bank
reconciliations), provide financial/operational support to Retail,
and assist management with special projects and ad hoc reporting.
Position Summary:The role of the Retail Accountant is:
Reconciliation of cash and credit card receivable accounts using
ReconNet. Month end close responsibilities including ensuring
timely close, journal entries, and review outstanding
balancesPrepare, analyze, and reconcile assigned balance sheet
accounts and investigate unusual itemsProvide monthly dashboard
reporting including returns analysis, tender analysts and
over/shortInvestigate cash deposit overages/shortages. Ensure
incident reports are filed and communicated to Loss
Prevention.Ensure retail sales and payments are recorded accurately
in the general ledgerAssisting with System Development, Testing and
Implementation ProjectsReconciliation of Order Management system to
ensure proper accounting treatmentPrepare all internal and external
auditor's requestLearn process flow of all transactions in order to
be able to get into the detail when issues need to be
researchedProvide store support based on issues encountered in the
fieldSpecial projects and ad hoc reporting as requested from
internal and external businesses The accomplished individual will
possess: Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal

pictureB.S. in Accounting 1-2 years or more of experience is a plus

skills, including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel. An
outstanding professional will have:Big 4 Experience or Public
Accounting with Retail ExperienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA)
or equivalent credentialSAP and ReconNet experience a plus Our
